Given the challenges of the times, we have shifted from direct service non-profit work (Island Stewards.org) to preparing for unknown but possibly major disruptions in goods and services, perhaps the most important being food security.

This site offers a glimpse of the various stages in constructing a half-acre garden and rehab of a previously used hoop house. Given tools and grit and a caring relationship with the land, much joy and food and connection with earth and animals and people unfolds.
